Less creepy than Children of Dynmouth, but both crueler and kinder in the end Funnier too, oddly Trevor eviscerates myths of family, religion, occupation and even war via his very human and very flawed characters. I really tried to enjoy this book, but wound up skimming to the end I love the subject matter, but couldn t get into the narrative style.
