“Our private polling shows it’s neck and neck between The Lib Dems and Labour. All the other parties are out of the race.” I think you’ll probably do okay today – but the last time you used this spin line, you came fourth.

As I’ve said before, I won’t make any predictions but I genuinely believe this is going to be incredibly close between Labour and The Lib Dems. Watch this space for a late update

Good show Steve – second place is pretty good going for your first attempt – better than I did first time around! Next year, go get ‘em!

I told you after Pendlebury to sack your private polling firm. There’s only so many times you can cry wolf. Nonetheless bad luck, I know you worked hard over the campaign.

Thanks Iain, the whole team worked incredibly hard – it seemed Labour were slightly better at getting around the voter apathy and dragging in anyone they could find to vote for another clone “yes man”. I’m not too disheartened, once the current expenses scandal subsides, we know our message is strong and we’re confident we’ll do well in next years local elections. Post a comment
